Taken at 1530 PST. It wasn’t raining…well, it was sprinkling…and it wasn’t snowing and it wasn’t hailing, so I managed to get out to the pasture for this. Believe it or not, we have better weather on tap for the next couple of days.

Taken at 1845 PST, and don’t get your hopes up! This was a classic “sucker hole,” directly overhead and the only piece of sky which wasn’t grey.

Taken at 1130 PST near Rainier WA. I wouldn’t ordinarily post a sepiatone, but I was on another photo mission and didn’t realize how striking the clouds were in this shot until I got home. Unfortunately, I used the in-camera setting, so there’s no color version available.

Taken at 1645 PST. Does this need a description? There were two other versions of this scene today: MORE, and somewhat more sparingly, LESS. It came down as rain, as heavy rain, as torrential cloudbursts, as gullywashers and frog-stranglers, but never once did it stop precipitating.

Taken at 1600 PST. A brief break in the precipitation allowed me to walk around the Trail of the Shadows where I got a view of the snow level on Eagle Peak. Shortly after I got back inside, it started pouring.
